From Freshh to Familiar: a Tribute to my Running Shoes

My Lunarfly+3’s, more than any item, represent the past year of my life. They were the first pair of shoes I bought solely for the purpose of running, and they’ve done their job beautifully. They’ve carried me on dirt, cement and treadmills. They’ve been with me through every run and a lot of sweat. Whenever I was unmotivated, I could practically see them glaring at me, coaxing me to put them on and be better. And each time I finished, I would be.

One year, hundreds of miles, and a hole in the toes. My running shoes are now worn, and I’ve worn them well.
