Is there something wrong with eating too much protein or too many carbs?

Eating too much protein can lead to kidney problems, nutrient deficiency and dehydration while eating too many carbs can lead to weight gain, blood sugar imbalance and diabetes.

You want to eat a moderate amount of both - around 0.8-1.8 g/kg of protein, potentially more if you’re an athlete, and around 1/2 of your daily calories of carbohydrates.
